June 2011 Philippines Missions Trip

Philippines Tour Invitation:

This is your invitation to go on our next Grace Church/Christian Team Ministries Tour to the Philippines this June 8-22, 2011. We must know of your commitment to go with us as soon as possible. This is so that you have ample, non-pressured time to raise your portion of the funding for the trip and to obtain your passport. Here is some information about this summer's trip:

IMPORTANT:

The entire cost of the tour is approximately $2,200 (Round trip from San Francisco). It may be less if we obtain a better price for airline tickets. Most of our mission team members obtain all of their funding from a group of people who desire to prayerfully invest in their trip. We will help you contact these people through sponsorship letters that you will mail out to your friends, family members, teachers, coaches, church leaders, etc.

Click here for an Application/Resume Form. Please fill-out and return your application to the Info Counter, or Grace Church office as soon as possible. Also, you will need to apply for a passport immediately if you do not yet have one. Procedures for obtaining your passport may be found in your telephone book, as well as on the Internet. You will not need a visa for the Philippines. Keep receipts for the cost of your photos and passport because if you are accepted for the CTM Tour, you may get reimbursed for those expenses from the funds that are sent into CTM designated for your travel account.

As soon as your Tour Application/Resume is accepted and approved, you will be provided detailed information on this website that explains how to write your sponsor letters, which you will distribute to friends and relatives. These letters should be mailed out as soon as your application is approved.

Be certain to also inform your youth group leaders, campus ministry leaders, pastors, coaches, teachers, relatives, and friends about your going on the ministry tour. They will be a tremendous encouragement to you as you prepare to go, and many of them will financially sponsor your portion of tour expenses.

TRIP OVERVIEW:

During our time in the Philippines, we will have an opportunity to compete and minister at a variety of sports events; conduct sports clinics; speak in colleges, schools and churches; work in the Rosmarino Children's Home (orphanage); minister to children/families in the squatter's areas, and assist missionaries and national pastors with their churches' ongoing work. We will also bring several people to host a Pastor and Ministry Leaders’ Enhancement Conference for around 200 pastors. In addition, athletes and coaches will minister with students and their instructors in learn-by-doing clinic sessions. Track & Field athletes will be involved in intercultural team demonstrations and competitions at various towns and villages. Please return the Application, accessed from this website, ASAP.
